About the Artist and work

Welcome to weird modern, where brilliant color meets intense darkness.

I am an emerging professional fine artist in the painting/drawing landscape. I received my BFA in drawing at Arizona State University in 2020 and continue to be an avid learner of the craft. My style is a combination of spectrum, shadow, and substance. This combination is the process that isolates aspects of a painting and allows me to focus on one piece of the puzzle at a time.

I use acrylic paint, watercolor, ink, charcoal pastels, and of course, charcoal. The paints’ and pastels allow me to lay bold washes of color to get a quick base for the intricate line and textures I place on top. Charcoal, my primary medium of choice, allows me to get a confident and varied line in a single stroke. The charcoal’s incredible depth emboldens the colors and textures around it and is one of the reasons I love the material so much.

My paintings are inspired by my affinity for classical baroque paintings. I aim to create striking, eye-catching pieces with whimsical lines and mysterious nature. If you are interested in original soul-stirring art, I encourage you to look through the site and see if anything catches your eye.
